Upbeat, folky and oft-times funny neo-beatnik tales of failure, fun, futility and excess in the wild inner-west are trademark of the story-songs penned by award-winning poet and playwright Benito Di Fonzo for the Suburban Bukowskis.
Suburban Bukowskis are made complete by veteran rock bassist Mike Sheehan and avant-garde percussionist Rich Machine.
Rhum.org.au have called Benito’s work, “Clever, witty, sharp and surreal”, whilst The Sydney Morning Herald said, “Benito Di Fonzo waxes lyrical… about money, Marx and the meaning of life“.
